A bit overdue, but still reminiscing over the experience, we have photos up from our first CollaBmore event.

What’s CollaBmore?

It’s our way of wanting to provide the a stepping stone and space of opportunity for those in the fashion industry or aspiring to be in it, who reside here, in Baltimore. And for our kickoff event, last month, we were lucky enough to partner with some amazing people: SVNCRWNS, Orange Canvas Design Group, and the Room. We also were lucky enough to be backed by great sponsors Brown Capital Management and Dovecote Café.

From behind the scenes, in the gallery, and on the runway, we have a lot of people to thank.

Special thanks to production show lead SVNCRWNS for an amazing fashion show. Thanks to model and casting director Domonique Graham, makeup and hair leads Trenae Jacobs and Jessica Clark & their teams, stylists Bria Washington and Whitley Johnson, and all production assistants.

Big thanks to founding editor-in-chief Lawrence Burney of  True Laurels for his genius music curations for the event and show. Thanks to vendors Cedar & Cotton, Knits, Soy & Metal, Civil Wrongs, Creative King, City of Gods, and DeBrichhio for your awesome presence and brands.

And another big thanks goes out to Ezra Tilaye, owner of Ware House 518 and the Louie Bar, for him and his staff providing delicious bites and cocktails for the event.

Of course, there would  be no show without the amazing talented the designers and boutique owners in Baltimore. Thanks to those featured, this year, for your talents, vision, and gifts: Nikki Hendricks of Marine de L’Oshun, Antwan Byrd of DeBrichhio, Terrance Frazier of City of Gods, Keisha Ransome of 2Live 2Love, Jerrill Sankey of Creative King, Danny Williams of Illicit Rag Vintage, Ishmel Fulton of Rifles & Rebels, Kenn Hall, and Phillip Magnus Hartley, who also opened the show with an amazing musical performance.

Thanks to the wonderful Keierra Hudson, upcoming style blogger of Ke In The City, for her awesome @CollaBmore IG takeover. She is currently on assignment with this year’s featured designers, so you’ll be seeing more from her on Strangers With Style.

Finally, many thanks to Hilary Geisbert, who was very much behind the scenes, but whose guidance went a long way in making this a reality.

We are so grateful to have all those involved help kick off this new series. And here, at Strangers With Style, there’s a lot of excitement for what’s to come.
